- You can't actually believe this is all they are going to do with it? The
- rumormill also stated Escom only wanted to buy Commodore for the
- brandname also and look where we are today!

- Do you think I meant advertising? So far the Surfer bundle and proposed
- Amiga-MAC shows me they know where the markets are, along with sales of
- the A4000t for the video market and stock A1200 for Europeans mainly as a
- games/multimedia machine is right on, they just need to advertise more.

- Would ya believe all the above minus standard High Density drive and
- addition of CD-ROM drive?

-
- High Density drives that take on Amiga specifics which set them apart
- from standard PC High Density drives.. new Paula chip would fix this but
- then the question remains, would they autoboot? I hope they don't plan
- on getting rid of this feature.

-
- Exactly, more the reason to provide useage ability.

-
- Nope.. why tip possible competition/users expectations and ruin sales of
- stock A1200s?
-

-
- I can see his point for the extreme low cost machine to be able to get
- out to the widest audience but that is not to say that in the future AT
- will not put out such a middle class machine for the users that want
- it... who knows, they might be surprised by the amount of sales and
- consider it THEN, the lowend.
-

-
- Obsolete to the users who can afford to buy the new Power Amiga which
- will not be lowend. The A1200+ will be the lowend Amiga for another 2
- years perhaps!
